Talking Lowering + wheel spacers?

Ive been wanting to lower my car and i also want to get wheel spacers for the rear wheels - for that staggered look (even tho im running 18x10 rear i still want them to stick out a more)

is it safe to lower and get spacers? Or will i most likely have my tires touch my car? I dont want to drastically lower it either - mayb and 1.5" will be enough...

Thanks!

Re: Lowering + wheel spacers?

since you have a SRA vehicle I cant tell you 100% but for my car any more than a front spacing of 3.75 inches is to much (I am at 4 and one side touches my fender BARLEY.... and the other side clears)

To find out frontspacing just do rim width - backspacing. I think 18x10s are probably around 3.5-3.75 already. You can roll your fender with an Eastwood fender roller Google rollmyfenders.com or something similar for rentals~ or pay a shop to do it (but make sure they use the right tool). I am going to have to get mine done soon...

yes safe if you get the bolt on spacers and not the slide on spacers, I would never use spacers on the front. Like Spector said you can roll the fender but I think a 1/2" spacer on the rear would be enough without rolling the fenders or eating the tires. Lower the car first then get spacers, I bought a set from ebay for about 65$ shipped, very nice T6 solid alum bolt on, I believe they are 1.25"

Re: Lowering + wheel spacers?

It all depends on the current wheels and their setup to see if spacers will work. On my car with the IRS my wheels tuck in as they go up so I can get by with more wheel sticking out than you can also FYI

Re: Lowering + wheel spacers?

I WOULDNT WANT TO MESS WITH THE FENDER =/
AND IF I GET SPACERS THEN I WILL DEFF GET THE BOLT ON ONES...

IF I CANT DO BOTH ID RATHER LOWER THE CAR SINCE MY TIRES ARE ALREADY WIDE IN THE BACK
