Rust spots on CAI.

Any way to get Rust spots off a CAI, the kid who sent it to me has some spots on it. (not bad) but little spots on it. I want to clean it off, and polish it. And take care of it so it doesnt happen.

What can i do?

Use a good chrome polish and then wax it with a good paste car wax. You will have to do it again probably every few months, once rust starts it is hard to get it all. Another thing you could try is clearcoat on it after you remove as much rust as possible. You could also try steel wool, like Brillo pads with the chrome polish.

First off, DON'T USE A WIRE BRUSH! There's a good chance you'll take the chrome off with the rust.

Go down to the store and grab some Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and Cleaner and a towel and settle down for the night for some hard scubbing.

You might even be able to use a high grit steel wool to help. But no to hard. be easy.

Hope that helps.
