mod list

Ive been doing some research so I finally came up with my list of things i wanna do to my car and i wanna know what you guys think.

cai
underdrive pullies
8.8 rear end with 410s since my car is an auto
exhaust but i dont know what kind yet
a programmer
75 shot and maybe a 100 if it would take it
caster camber plates and springs

i figured this list will give my pony a lil spunk.

Re: mod list

yeah but you will need to add some fuel upgrades i am sure with the addition of the gas... but I am assuming on that one..

you would notice a difference just with gears alone

Re: mod list

You can make a V6 fast no doubt, bolt ons wont do it, gears help, N20 will help.

You could save up and get a single turbo setup on it, that would do it... no company really makes one so you will have to find a used TMA turbo kit.

Re: mod list

If you are planning on doing all those mode at once, id wait and just do a supercharger or turbo. Even when i had gears, my car was slow as hell.

Re: mod list

I'm with Tiger do the supercharger it is bolt on and will give you best bang for the buck, but don't forget to do the exhaust when you do this to maximize the gain.

Re: mod list

N20 sounds cheaper but when done right... it quickly gets expensive.

Some are doing M112 superchargers (03/04 cobra oem supercharger) on their v6 and getting 300rwhp~ on about 8-10 psi. the only issue is heat and I think they solved the hood clearance issue.

Mysteed Performance: Making the Impossible, Possible. has a kit for em

But if they do turbo, the exhaust will have to be modified anyway so it just depends

Re: mod list

True True Tiger I was just thinking that a procharger would be less heat under the hood.

Re: mod list

Run a 3" downpipe from the turbo straight down and dump it below the engine. The turbo will spool up faster giving you more boost at lower RPMs... and less plumbing to deal with. But that's just my $0.02

Re: mod list

Or run a 3.5" from the turbo into a cutout, and back to duals...

Works the same and give you the look out back

3.5" down pipe connected to smaller sized duals?

Ahh I see. But you still run into the problem of back pressure. Though not as much with such large diameter pipes, back pressure is still there creating longer spool times. The down pipe I was going to use was only about a foot and a half long and dumped exhaust directly under the engine

Re: mod list

I was gonna do all of this piece by piece not all at once. lol I would love to get a turbo or supercharger. Right now i need to get some exhaust put on the car like asap. the guy who had it before me cut the exhaust right before the muffler and it sounds horrible. What kind of exhaust should i get? And what kind of tips look right on the v6 cars being as they have to be under the bumper?

Re: mod list

I run 3 in pipes with my magnaflow and they have no back pressure. But it is a set up that could be ready for a supercharger or procharger.

Re: mod list

well yes just a different set up. What i want is the true supercharger on the manifold not one that looks to much like a turbo. Even though it doesn't look as good.

Still a supercharger

You want a positive displacement supercharger, or as my dad would say a "blower" ...

Its still a supercharger

Re: mod list

The one that sits on top of the motor is a twin screw/roots blower. The one that looks like a hair dryer is a centrifugal supercharger.
