Re: Blacked Out Taillights

They are illegal because they block the light from the bulb...this could possibly cause an accident because other drivers can't see the brake lights very well....so says a PA State Trooper

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

i don't understand those types of laws...

tinted tail lights are illegal... understandable.

why are hid's illegal if the factory didn't put them in?

lol im getting toyota emblems to put on my ballists so if i do get a ticket for them ima say they came off of a solara and i got it done at toyota 8p

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

most of the time you get pulled over for something else and they get you for the tint while they are at it.

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

I got popped once just for tint, hence the reason I have no tint.

The cop, however, did not say a word about my taillights.

And actually, they are completely within the law here. You must be able under normal visibility circumstances to see the brake lights from at least 50 feet away.

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

In PA you can't get pulled over just for tint...you need to be pulled over for something else, probly something legit and then they nail ya for the tint....same goes for the sealtbelt law, they can't pop ya just for that either they need an excuse to pull you over first.

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

Well both tint and seatbelt are primary offenses here in MS.

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

You would think that seatbelts would be a primary offense everywhere, safety violations almost always are.

The same way they can tell you that you can't smoke pot and that you have to wear a helmet when you ride your motorcycle. Who needs common sense when we have a government that has it for us?

technically---u can put someone else's life at risk by not wearing a seatbelt. if you are inside of your car without a belt on and for some reason you get into a high speed accident or one that causes you to flip over, you could potentially hit and hurt the other person in your car. i've seen accidents where passengers have gotten hurt because the driver's body flew over to their side and hit them.

imo, its not smart not to wear it. i won't let anyone in my car if they don't wear it. plus is a primary offense in jersey.

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

smoking pot can cause you to harm others, riding with out a helmet is a personal choice

i usually drive alone, and i personally know more people who have died in an accident because they were wearing their seat belt, i am about to disconnect the seat belt alarm if i can figure out how, i know how to make it stop dinging but the light still flashes

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

Hey wkndpaintballer...
Just watch out in MS, they are really starting to crack down. It's only a 50 or so dollar ticket, but enough of those will add up.

Personally, my life has been saved by a seat belt...well...somewhat...
but enough so that I wear mine everytime I'm in a vehicle.

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

research shows that wearing a seatbelt will keep you alive more than it wont... so if you want to go against studys just because of a "gut" feeling then that is your business. They put the law in place to protect stupid people who didnt know any better from themselves... but I personally dont care as long as you dont hurt anyone else but yourself you can do what ever it is that you please.

Haha, don't come up here then. They'll pop you for 5 over when they're in a bad mood just because we're college students.

he was increasing speed for the faster speed zone and our dh cops stopped him, plus there is a lot more bs that goes on around here that pisses us all off about the cops anyway

Re: Blacked Out Taillights

I must say one thing here though....

cops normally won't pull you over for 2 over unless they've already seen you doing other things before or have probable cause to think there might be something in the car. 2 over is a reason to pull you over and might lead to finding other things...

no our cops are just boners (straight up dicks) they think they rule the world, they drive around trying to give tickets while their personal vehicles are illegal themselves, no inspection stickers or license plates
