Recommended Brands

My last post was informative as far as what to install, now I need brand recommendations. It was decided that in order to install the TMA turbo I will need ported heads, intake, cam, 2.5 Dual catback, injectors, MAF, and fuel pump. Does anyone have any suggestions which way to go in brand?

Re: Recommended Brands

Go with supersix motorsports or redline (I think thats their name) as both have a good reputation. I think in the last bit supersix has become more popular.

For exhaust on a V6 it is best to go mellow toned. Try not to select a catback that is really loud as the 3.8 doesn't sound amazing. With a cam and a power adder it will sound better but still not amazing.

Re: Recommended Brands

I just mean an exhaust system that is not super loud. Most try a GT take off cat back and use the OEM mufflers. If that is not enough they can just have the mufflers replaced on the catback.

If you are for sure going with a turbo chances are the kit will come with a near full exhaust system so you should wait until you see what you are in for to determine what to purchase exhaust wise. You may very well need some custom work done to it~ Darkshadow can let you know that for sure.

Re: Recommended Brands

Andy has the option of getting one 3" exhaust pipe with just a high flow cat, or you can get a Y pipe that will connect to dual exhaust. For mufflers, it's all about what you want in sound, but be sure to get a flow through, not a chambered muffler.

Re: Recommended Brands

Supersix for the H/C/I, and VMP for the injectors, MAF, and pump.

I got a good deal on the injectors off ebay, but that can be risky since VMP flow tests their injectors for safety.
