Re: these 17's yes or no?

whops... didn't look towards the avatar... of course, his changing color to blue is helpful info. You don't want solid black with a dark car... it'll look like ****... pure dog ****. You COULD, however, get all black rims with a polished lip.... now those would be the sex... in fact, I would have to describe them as "pure tits"... Just make sure you get DD rear wheels with the polished lip, you can't go wrong.

Re: these 17's yes or no?

~$150 each is "about right"... not a great price, but not bad... just average. Uhhh, and Sonic Blue is a fantastic shade... see the sig for a sample

also, it looks so much better in person.. but you have to keep it clean, for it to REALLY shine. When it's extremely clean, you can see green and purple in it along with the blue, it's sexy.

haha i'll look into it cuz it is a nice shade of blue.. but its cool cuz all i gotta do is buy the paint n i got it painted for free inside and out.. i just needa hurry up n buy my rims n body kit so i can get the thing done.. then after that its all downhill with engine parts

Re: these 17's yes or no?

haha, before you get too far into engine stuff, are you modifying a v-6 or a v-8? It makes a decent difference in what you'll get out for what you put in. You may consider going to a 4.0 before you drop too much in... cause there's no replacement for displacement. And yes, sonic blue is hot... especially in the summer, it roasts you to death.

Re: these 17's yes or no?

first thing is split port swap.. get you some good power there, and it's easy... then if you have the budget, port and polish and cam will get you your 220... gears after that, and you'll be set pretty well. It appears that you already have the dual exhaust.

Re: these 17's yes or no?

I'm not an expert in it, so I probably wouldn't do it justice... but I'd recommend doing the port and polish **** at the same time. Also, if you have a manual, you should consider 3.73's

also, assuming you'll need a split port intake... which you will.. I just happen to have one, and it's been ported out. Probably not a perfect port, since I did it, but it's better than stock for sure. If you're interested... let me know. Naturally, I can't "give it away"... but I wouldn't rape you.

LOL, I wouldn't worry about it. Don't let anyone who lists "stainless steel inserts" and "more interior aluminum than..." under "mods" hassle you.

What's "split" port and polish? I thought it was just P and P?

does it come factory? well I'll be damned, I guess it's a modification then. Shall I change the word "mod" to "changes from factory" so you can understand it next time?

It was a joke, take it a such.

And the reason for said joke, is 9 times out of 10 mods mean performance mods, not interior trim pieces. Atleast from what I have seen.

Re: these 17's yes or no?

your joke was mean spirited... thus was my reply. Regardless... it's something I'm proud of, so I put it up there. I'm not putting loads of money into this car... as I want to get the Cobra in a couple years. Other than appearance stuff... I have the exhaust and intake... rather short list.

Hey Craig, on the V6 you have single port heads (94-98 3.8) and split port heads (99-04 3.8/9).

The difference is about 25 hp at the wheels with the split port heads and intakes.

It is possible. You will get far more hp/tq for about the same price probably by going with ported heads/intakes/cam for your single port.
