lol u are going to need a lot more than just a cai and a dual exhaust. they do make superchargers for 3.8s but your engine needs to be ready for it AND its not gonna be cheap.
ps, not typing in all caps is your friend

First thing to do is get rid of the CAI if you want a supercharger.
Second thing is to save up around 2k and start choosing which supercharger you want to go with and where you want the car tuned.

Get a procharger and run 11psi on a great custom tune and all should be good. Expect 4k-5k cost.

They are fast because they accelerate a given distance in a shorter amount of time than not so fast cars do.

They are faster because other companies have figured out that people want and will buy cars that are lighter in weight, good on gas mileage, are built with parts that will last for a long time, and most importantly and mindboggling, are able to produce more power from engines that have either the same amount of cylinders as ours or two less. I sometimes feel jipped that another car with a V6 makes more power and is faster then my car which may have the same size engine as that car.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but even with a supercharger on a 3.8L v6 mustang, you're still going to be hard pressed to beat a stock Evo IX...you might be able to make the power of an Evo IX and then some, but you still won't be able to beat the weight and AWD factors...unless you are one freakishly good driver...and even then...I think you're going to need more than just a basic blower...

of course, an Evo is nearly a $40K car, so it's not all bad, especially compared to the fact that you would have paid half that for your mustang brand new? getting beat be a car that costs twice as much isn't so bad...it should be faster based on the price tag...after all, how fast and powerful your ride is correllates directly to how deep your pockets are $$$$$$$$

Evo's and STI's are suppose to be fast, v-6 Mustangs aren't. My advice if you want to have a fast Mustang would be to buy a Cobra or Mach 1 and go from there. LS1 powered FireTurds and Catfish are also very fast and are easy to mod and make alot of N/A power with, then you could throw some spray to it and be hauling some serious ass, Thats if you like the Chebbies though.

It is all about what your goal is. A v6 mustang can do just about what ever it is that you want to do. You just have to realize that its wont be as easy obtaining XXX hp/tq in a v6 vs a v8 in the mustang world. Its rather cheap to get good power but to really push it you start to rack up a high bill. Just determine what you really want (for sure...) and if the 3.8 works and fits the bill best then go that route else get something else.
