Muffler

'98 'Six-Banger' needs a new muffler, and while i was at it, I was hoping for a bit of an upgrade, basically less back-pressure, not loud as a freight train, and hopefully cheap

Re: Muffler

I would grab a GT mustang take off exhaust system (94-98 mustang GT preferably) and have a shop fabricate it to fit (cut off the stock Y pipe and weld it on)

You can then swap in differnet mufflers if the oem ones are not loud enough for you. You can also buy a bolt on kit if you wish~ many brands make them.

Re: Muffler

We need to collect all the info about mufflers and put it in one sticky or something. There seems to be tons of exhaust questions lately.

Re: Muffler

I have a muffler sitting in the garage off my old V6. I was told it was a dynomax muffler but I'm not 100% sure it is. Anyways it sounds better then stock but isn't loud. I'll send it to you if you provide the cost of shipping and packaging.
