Tell me your thoughts...

Well my stang is acting up on me again, and everyone around me says that its time that I get rid of my car and get something new. I really want to finish it and make it how I want to but would it really be worth it? It needs bodywork, and has 80,000 miles on it, and some other things that will probably need fixing in the near future but its kinda hard to let it go. I could keep it and do the things I want to it but then when thats done it'll probably have like 135,000 miles on it with the way money is not staying in my savings account these days. Problem is, is that if I keep it and all the miles get on there not to many people are gonna want to pay what it may be worth done just because of the mileage or I wont get much on a trade in. If I trade it now I wont get much because of the bodywork that needs to be finished and some other items that need to be addressed too. Hell by the time I may be done her she might be a classic!!! lol Just wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks
~Jon~

Re: Tell me your thoughts...

how much body work is needed? honestly my friends call me the Bondo Master cause ill use it but honestly till you take a magnet to the car you'll never see the areas that were ever damaged.

As long as you do a great job doing body work they'll really honestly wont know its been worked on unless your insurance has it noted somewhere and such.

Tough spot though, looking for a nice DD wouldnt be a bad idea either, thats what I ended up doing (cause the fox has 135K as it sits right now)

Re: Tell me your thoughts...

The bodywork needed isnt from an accident or anything its from when I shaved everything on the car, it just needs to be finished up and the whole car reshot. I have a bike that I could ride around but its in the shop too. Seems all the money I have to do anything has just disappeared.
