looking to get a new muffler...

ok so i have a 2000 v6 mustang, and about 2 months ago i had the flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow put on it. It's not very loud, and the mechanic told me since its a v6 and not a v8 its not going to be loud. But i was wondering if there was any other kind of muffler i could put on there to make it LOUD. we have three mustangs, one that was fixed up when we bought it, and its a v6 with a LOUD muffler on it so i know its possible..any suggestions on what i could put on mine to make it louder?

A loud v6 isnt the best sounding. keeping a mellow tone seems to work best. My flowmaster 40s sounded ok on my old 3.8L.

You can make it louder. Just take the cats off. However, remember that Hondas with a 5" coffee can are loud too, yet nobody wants to hear them. Louder isn't always better. Sometimes discretion is the better part of something.
