brake discs

my brakes are making a weird noise. Its really difficult to explain the noise online so im not even going to try. I think im just going to work on the rotors because I think they may be warped because I don't downshift that much. Im thinking because I do not downshift that they get real hot and warp. Anyway, my question is, if I get my rotors re-surfaced do I have to get new pads as well or will the old ones still work? Also, If I take the rotors to a shop, will they be able to tell if they are warped or not?

Thanks everyone,
Jay

Re: brake discs

Most shops skip resurfacing because it's cheaper to buy a new one.
