Tranny adjustment

hey guys, I recently changed the tranny on my 99 v6 to a 02 tranny. when i brake, right before the car stops i feel like this pull like it pulls back then it stops like the gears are jumping. My friend said that because i have 20" rims that my tranny has to be adjusted to that dimension. Ive put about 1200 miles on the car since i changed the tranny and have been running it like that, hasnt given me any problem, yet. is this bad or should i leave it?Opinions? Plus about how much would it run me to adjust it?

Re: Tranny adjustment

I imagine auto. It was very common for new Mercedes owners to complain about transmission issues when what really was happening is the adaptive transmission controller would have to readjust driving styles for a new driver. (after buying a used Mercedes)

Rims can help cause issues like this with the transmission but I'm not sure what your problem is exactly.

Re: Tranny adjustment

Auto. IDK my mechanic said because the rims from the other car were stock so now that the tranny is in my car the difference in rim size offsets it? Any suggestions?
