most asked rear end question

ok, guys.. i just bought a 96 v6 with a 5spd. does anyone know wut gear is in this thing? also, is it open or a limited rearen end. i still have to go pick it up. the only reason im askn is because ima strip my 92 coupe to make myself a 95 v8.

i preciated. i think i may instal my frpp trac lok on it to c wut kinda milage and pull i get outa the whole. my 92 coupe is a conversion and has 3:42 7.5's it breaks the tires loose at 45mph. so im think'n it may be a lil less scary with a 2;73.

...omg that was so freakn funn! yea, it's phat to me..lol. it's maroon wit a sunroof. it's got y2k gt rims (17") wit new rubber all da way round. it has that peanut butter colered interior. definatley an updated look compared to my notch. i think ima put a pro stock wing on it..u know, like an american ricer.lol.lol. but push'n 11psi of course!

i will most likely be selln the 5spd. i have a built aod. so if you anyone here lives near central ohio let me know. it also has a newer clutch according to the old owner. im tossn the pedal, cable, clutch crap, and bell. it's a good opportunity if someone wants to convert to a t-5. or i could convert my notch to a 3.8 hmmm, maybe that would be fun..jk!

dont just put a tlok in it, go ahead and do a gear upgrade it will wake the car up much more than any bolt ons will

im sorry, i didnt fully explain. my 92 coupe make 456 at the wheels with 3.42 gears. ima take everything outa my coupe and put it in the 96 i just bought. the 3.42 is ratio for a factory 5spd 4cyl. i was hope'n i''s get lucky wit the new 6'er body i just bought. point is...the car gets squirly at 45-50mph if u mat into too hard. i was think'n lowering my ratio would calm it down a bit, as well as helping the mpg's since i have to put premium in it.

i think the 96 is a lil heavier than my 92 coupe and my friend thinks we should just transfer the center section from one to the other since they are both 7.5. i have a 3.73 i bought a few years ago, but decided it was a bit overkill after i put the blower on.

so anyway, that was my reasoning for deciding to transfer the t-lok only instead of also transfering the 3.42 ring and pinion also. but this is my first 96, so im willing to listen to suggestions also, ive only owned foxs'
