Cleaning intake

I know this is kind of a dumb question but what's the best way to clean a mmr cai?

Where did you buy such a beast? What yr/model is it on? Do you mean cleaning the filter?
Also, how did you get a tune for it? How do you like it?

It's a 2007 v6 and I bought it from a guy who already put it on. And yes the filter. And I don't have a custom tune for it yet but I've never had any other one to compare it to but I like it

Yeah, i dont think you do need a tune for that system but it will perform when you do. It's supposed to be the best. The filter kits to clean the filter are on e-bay and auto part stores. MMR makes one, K&N makes one, both good.

generally no actual cleaning is needed on the pipe, but if you have it all out then go for it. I assume you are talking about the inside? I would use on contact NO residue electronics parts cleaner on the MAF sensor and anywhere else you see its needed.

Finally, if its the outside soap/water if that doesnt work you can step it up to something stronger like simple green if its metal or what not, test a small spot on the underside to ensure it wont have any bad issues with it before you hose it down.
