intake late response

sup people. i got the ford racing intake with the tuner combo and i got some stuff to try to explain. anyway, i installed the intake. and tuned my 2005 v6 to the 87 peformance tune. took it for a drive and it was awesome. couple of days went by and i tuned it to the 87 street. just wanted to cruise around town you know. i tuned it back to the 87 peformance and it dont act the same way as it did the first time. i tried to tune it back to stock and back to 87 peformance but still aint the same. idk. is there a way i can go into something and change where it will sling me back in the seat like the first time. now the tune wont give it that much good response or something. and when it does shift gears and "try" to throw me in the seat. its really late. like its holding back or something now. does anyone know this problem? idk. maybe someone with more experience can help me out on this one. i want to try to change something with the spark or whatever but its got degrees up there and all kinds of mess like its foreign language to me. please help someone. would really appreciate it. thanks guys

I'm not sure how much help I could be but wanted to know what does Ford Racing give you? Just some files to download to a SCT yourself? Gave you a brand new SCT tuner or some other brand tuner? just curious as to how that works when you buy the combo.

Re: intake late response

Where did you buy the CAI/tuner combo from? If it was American Muscle you could probably send it in and have them either re-write the tunes or examine your current ones.

If you're not experienced in engine modding, I wouldn't recommend any attempts to alter the timing, a/f or any other air/fuel/spark settings. One wrong alteration and you could cause irregular detonation that could damage your engine.
