Go to this website and look around. Click on cams/rocker arms and you'll find everything you need. Also comp cams makes cams for our sixers that are nice.

Sct makes the best tuner. Id also consider longtubes and an o/r hpipe for an awesome sounding v6. What stage are you looking at? Any idea on cam specs? And how much power are you looking for?

yea get a correct cam/intake/heads (na or for a future power adder) and you can make very nice power, 220-250rwhp depending~ (stroke 4.2 would be on the top end of that n/a)

Id say around 215-225rwhp with his Mods. Get a pulley and full exhaust and you'll probably get another 15-20 rwhp from that. The heads and intakes don't matter too much for future plans although if the heads are milled, it'll bump the compression ratio. The cam is very important though for future mods. Just make sure you get a streetable one.

You can do that with just the turbo. Why waste money on just a cam? And do you mean posi trac differential? Youd be better off ordering one online.

That's exactly what I mean a posi trac differential but the thing with the cam is it will change the sound of the exhaust and adds a little power

R u installing it? Imo its not worth it when you can bump the turbo 1psi and make up for that power. And a mild street cam wont change it all that much. What specs are you looking at for the cam?

I am doing the same thing to my 94. However what Turbo has the best bang for the buck. I will be installing and doing it all myself.

If you can afford it, get a turbo with ball bearings instead of the cheap brass bushings. a ball bearing turbo will out last any other kind. I prefur a garrett t-25.

Re: v6 cam upgrades

I JUST finished installing the cam in my car i got from supersixmotorsports and its great only thing is you gotta think i want to keep my car N/A, but if you get this cam now which i think might be the same one i got, the cam will work fine for now and give you that sound but will work HORRIBLE with a turbo or any sort of F/I, so either go another route or do the cam last.

Re: v6 cam upgrades

and please dont waste your money on your exhaust just yet.. i did with my car and had cats off then back on and then off again, then x pipe, then i finally went lt's and two custom h pipes.. lets just say with the money i spent on my exhaust for ONLY SOUND purposes i could have bought a nice set of heads and really added 50 more hp to go along with that cam
