Battery light

Left the parking lights on yesterday, the battery ran down. Jumped it, battery light came on, i did not make it homebeofre it dies again. Charged it all night and it ran about 25 miles, 3 stops and starts, then it died. Battery checks good, amp meter shows charging, battery light is still on. Any ideas?

Even if it is taking a charge it still could be the battery. If your lights are dimmer than normal when the car is idling it more than likely is the alternator.
