Dont get one. Its not worth it for a v6. Buy a v8 and of u still need more power get a vortech for that.

I agree. Not worth it for a v6. I have a 2000 bored to 308 vortech V1 superchaged stang. Too much power. Keep in mind mpg will suck

Your best bet is to get an eBay turbo for your engine size and have a shop or if your skilled enough make the tubing and lines for it....

For the turbo itself, no

But if you had a shop install it, it wouldn't be that cheap but probably cheaper than buying a kit...

I was saying the combo. As in the price to buy it plus the price to install it.

But installing it your self would save you cash there. And most of the eBay turbos are 200 or just under 200.

Keep an eye out on eBay and craigslist.. I got my $5,000 STS turbo kit on craigslist for $700 I just couldn't resist a deal like that lol and did the install myself... And to those that say it isn't worth it I'd have to disagree there's no feeling like that of beating a V8 with a V6 and to see the look on their face after it happens lol it never gets old

Re: turbo/supercharger

Buy a Terminator!!!! they come with a SC. I will never see a V6 beat me that is for sure!

But if you want more HP for your V6, turbo is the way to go! Much more efficient for what you want! And you can find them on ebay for cheap. Just make sure you have all the supporting mods as well. I know the feeling of a V6 beating a V8. I do it every day with my daily driver. 300frhp SSEI! Its fun, let me tell ya!
Try this: Cheap! Just make sure you have someone or yourself do it RIGHT!!!!!
STAGE 2 T3/T4 TURBO KIT MUSTANG V6 V8 3.8L 4.8L 5.0L GT - eBay (item 330458394866 end time Feb-01-11 19:50:42 PST)

Re: turbo/supercharger

tma used to make turbos for the 3.8L and was supposed to start back up again, they are like 4k~ or so and on 10psi should be 350rwhp or so on a manual trans, superchargers are out there as well but wont push nearly as much, about 280rwhp on 10psi.

if your not in the boost your gas mileage should be about what it would be N/A... mine is somewhere between 24mpg and 3mpg depending on how much throttle I use

lmao... im start'n to wonder if i should bump my timing up abit. ive kept it at 10 degrees advance which is pretty low. maybe if i bump up to 12 or 14 i would see a mpg gain. every since i put the blower on ive left it at ten.

Stock combustion chambers but I'm only running 7psi with a good tune and yes had to adjust the air to fuel ratio

that just seems like an awful lot of injector for only 7lbs. and ima assume 69cc combustion chambers. that's sum serious work for the injectors to have have them work that kinda duty cycle out of optimum range. seems like u would wear the springs out soon. and possibly hurt ur milage a tiny bit having them cut their duty cycle in probably half.. idk...im just thinkn out loud. i love to see other ppl's set-ups. wut kinda hp r u pushn at the wheels, u know yet? sounds like a wild ride u got there.

Dang, that's a good deal... Too bad my car has 95k on it now and I would probably end up on the side of the highway picking up bits of my engine.

ah, if you don't push it past 6-8psi you shouldn't be too bad off. You can always hit up SSM and get a piece at a time to beef your engine up.

Yeah no joke, mine has almost 150k on it. Just make sure you do the regular maintenance and replace everything before you start, haha.

Well, the parts aren't going anywhere, they've been laying in my floor in my spare bedroom for almost a year, just haven't had the time nor extra cash to get it put on and tuned.
