Re: modds for my stang

Try these out for starters.
When modding a car from the start: (order of mods list for best results!!!)

If you're wanting more of a rumble, look into these:
MAC LONG TUBE HEADERS CHROME 3.8L V6 1-5/8" 1994-1997 ,2001-2004 | CJ Pony Parts
with some flowmaster 40 series mufflers.

Re: modds for my stang

Re: modds for my stang

I wouldnt go more than an inch. What you could do is measure out an inch from the sidewall of the tire and mark it using a string hanging down from the fender edge. Tape the string to the fender edge and tie something on the end of the string so it will hang straight down.

Measure and see how far 1 inch pushes out, you dont want to touch the string or be super close, I would say no closer than .25-.5 inches to the string.

Re: modds for my stang

i have 1.5" spacer on it now i was just wondering if i could add anymore to make the stance a bit better, i want the tire to come out a little past the fender like mabey 1/2 to 1/2 of an inch to give it that wider look

Re: modds for my stang

you run into a few issues when you do what you said. First issue is the tire now can hit the fender if you go over a bump hard enough OR if the car is low enough, trust me you do not want that.

The second issue is by going with even a little bit more spacer you put a ton of extra stress on the wheel spacers an the axle. I think with 2 inch spacers you will be required to extend the factory lug nuts to be safe and you should only use the top notch brands for spacers for the strongest and best made ones.

Re: modds for my stang

only downside will be slightly rougher ride (smaller sidewall on tire) and tires are more costly by far lol
