Mustang Vs WRX?

Lets say statistically,
a 2002 v6 Stang stock
Vs 2002 Subaru WRX Stock.
Who do you think would come out ahead?

Re: Mustang Vs WRX?

WRX runs around 15 in the quarter stock compared to high 15's for the V6 Mustang.

Re: Mustang Vs WRX?

the mustang, even v6, is easily modable to make it about .5-1 second faster than stock

Well since he's a part owner and team driver now, I'd say the Subaru days are long behind him.

Re: Mustang Vs WRX?

I have always like the WRX, when it first came out in the Rally season. But for flat out racing the mustang i feel is a better well rounded car that can be modded more to get where yoou want to be.

Re: Mustang Vs WRX?

I would say the WRX would take it. The AWD would get the jump and the 227hp turbocharged 2 liter would probably beat out the 3.8...but who cares, I've never met a WRX owner who wasn't a complete tool. The cars are ugly, nerdy, and overrated...a lot like their owners

I'd rather lose in a stang than win in a WRX...that's my .02.

Lol harsh cause I really like their looks. I'm Asian tho so your lippin my race! Jk :p i find it funny how each forum has their own type of car that they all agree to hate, like the camaro here. Like on the wrx forum they think stangs aren't as modifiable as turbocharged subarus, which might be right but I think any car with the right owner can roll on any competition

I never said I didn't like that camaro. I think it is a great car. I think gm could have done a better job of redesigning it. I think that they made the interior too small. I feel that they are not going to last as long the stang will. I think the camaro is a dying breed that needs to be reminded of the fact the mustang has never been pulled off the market. They have stood at the right hand of history for almost 50 years.

You tell me what company can say that?

I love GM cars and trucks but their quality and design have went down hill the last few years.

You have to give ford credit they are doing it right and better than chrysler and GM. Even the long running Toyota has been in a slump fir the last 2 years.

Subaru makes I great car but imports are so hard to upkeep without having special tools and a phd in mechanical science.

Lol I like them all but I prefer what makes great power and is easily modded and fixed by me. You take more pride in it.

I'm the same way! But I am Ford biased. I hate everything about General Motors. My Dad swears by GM and hates Ford, go figure?!

Are you forgetting that the corvette has been around since 1953?
That would be the longest standing name plate on a car that I know of.. but they are overrated and expensive as hell to mod unlike the stangs, ppl say that they are a dime a dozen! but everyone makes their car their own, I have never been to a car show, and seen 2 mustangs done the exact same way...

This is the truth...there's always going to be a faster car. Anyone will an endless wallet and understands the strengths and weaknesses of their car can make it stupid fast.

I wouldn't say that we all "hate" the camaro here...it's just thee competitor for the mustang, so we have to give some static

I personally am glad the camaro and challenger are back to battle...without them rising from the dead you wouldn't be able to buy a 412 hp 5.0 GT stock from the factory today.
