New wheels and tires along with the duals

Picked up my GT wheels and tires today. Their wrapped in new goodyears, and the wheels are in awesome shape. Paid 450 for the set, little more than I was hoping to spend. Dual flow 40's cost 400, both additions do a whole lot for the look of the car.

I looked at a lot of different wheels, and kept going back to the gt's. Sharp looking I think, wouldn't been better in chrome, but didn't want to spend that much

I believe they were on the 99-04 gt's. I prefer the split spoke 96 to 98 gt wheels but couldn't find and with tires for less than 700. I can tell the difference with these over the stock v6 wheels, more rubber on the road.

Any one have an idea of what I should be able to get for the factory 16" 5 spokes with good tires? I dont want to lowball myself, but I want them to sell

Re: New wheels and tires along with the duals

See you picked up a set of the ol' starfishees...very nice.

Those were available on the 99-00 premium GT's as the 16's came on the deluxe. In 01 17's became the standard wheel size for GT's, so the starfish's became the base wheel and the bullitts and 99/01 polished cobra wheels were the options for the premiums.

In 99 the Special 35th Anniversaries had the starfish wheels in a bright machined polished finish with black inserts.

The 00 Spring Feature GT's had the bright machined starfishes as well but without the inserts.

There's your history lesson on 17" starfish wheels, lol.

Today I had the shop weld in an H pipe and I am much happier with the sound. Should have done it from the get go. I did find out I have a bad cat and it is making some racket, so I may pull off the cats all together.
