V6 questions for new owner

I'm trying to figure out a few things guys.

1) How much HP does the stock V6 on my 2000 Mustang get? I've tried asking around and have gotten so many different answers that I figured the best people to ask are the ones who have the same thing as me.

2) What are some ways I can get better or maximum HP for my V6? I don't plan on racing it, but as a U.S. Marine, I always shoot for the best of the best with what I've got.

3) What is the maximum HP I can get for my V6 WITH mods?

and lastly

4) Is a V6 respectable? I def don't have the $$ to afford a V8 GT, plus with the cost of gas nowadays. So I've been wondering if my car is even that fast with everything stock in it. (Compared to average cars you see on the highway. NOT a modded up street racer)

I apologize for all the questions but I consider you guys the experts since we're all Mustang owners here. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Your car should be rated at 190 HP in it's stock form.
This is an excellent guide for V6 Mods V6 Mustang Modification Guide
The mileage shouldn't be drastically different. My GF has an "02 GT automatic and it probably gets around 25mpg on the highway if not better.
Hope this helps!

Re: V6 questions for new owner

Yours is 190hp@5250 / 220tq@2800rpm in 2001 they went up to 193hp/225tq and gained 250rpm limit increase in peak performance. Thats about right, I might be off a tad but its very close.

Stock they ar 15.5-16.0 second cars in the quarter mile in a manual transmission, auto will be slower of course by about .4-.6 tenths of a second. That puts you at the bottom of the current performance car area~ not bad really just not fast.

They take ok to modifications (bolt ons and simple things). You can probably get the car a second faster than stock with easy mods to performance and suspension.

They can take about 250-280rwhp with the engine not built but that would require a supercharger or something. If you build the motor they can take up to 700+ rwhp it just depends on what you want and what you want to spend.
