Anybody taking thier sixxers to mustang week?

I'm not far from Myrtle beach and kicked around the idea of going to mustang week this year, but I just don't feel right showing up in a six. I wont feel as bad when I've got the 8.8 and the ssm powerpak and the new paint, but as she sits now she just doesn't seem worthy.

Re: Anybody taking thier sixxers to mustang week?

I'm sure there are plenty of v6 mustangs at Mustang Week...who cares what engine you have in the car. The point is to enjoy mustangs of all breeds at that show. I wish I lived in that area, I'd go for sure.

I'm in rock hill, like 5 hours away. But it was a joke, because mines a fox. But it's not that nice on the outside. Mines a v8, that's why I said I wouldn't come.

I think I might make an appearance. There is another thread in the general section about mustang week. Check it out, anybody that's planning on going let me know. I'd like to meet some of my fellow forum members. I joined this one because it had an iPhone app. I spent awhile on the 3.8 forum, but they have renamed to 3.7 and seemed to have forgot earlier year mustangs.

Are you going for the whole thing? I think I'll go to the meet and greet, my wife wants to go to Texas to see family about that time so I'll make it down for a day, I figure either the meet and greet at Hollywood or the track day.

Re: Anybody taking thier sixxers to mustang week?

I would love to go. My Mustang is just as nice and bad *** as anyone-else there, its just a different breed.
Go! Have fun. It'll be like Mustang heaven. With heavenly angels barely dressed scattered about, Mustangs everywhere, you can't loose.
I can get there in about 9-10 hours. I think it would make for the perfect family vacation.

I'll make it for at least a day, it wouldn't make any sense for me not to go being I am so close. I just thought about it though, I can't take the mustang unless I take two cars. I've got three kids and my wife and only four seats in the mustang I could get a babysitter by I know the kids would love to go, they are just as big a fan as I am.

Exactly. A mustang is a mustang. And that's what the celebration is about. It's not called mustang gt week.

I've dumped so much time and money into my six that I don't have a problem taking it now. I just didn't like the idea of showing up in a stock sixxer.

Mustang is a mustang bro. If it wasn't for the sixxers the model would have died out decades ago. The gt cannot carry the entire line

True, but around here stock six new edges outnumber people! I wouldn't want to take a stock vehicle, especially one that everybody and their mother owns. Now that I have set mine apart a little, I am happy to take it.

It's not so much the number of cylinder to me anymore, but what makes my stang different from yours, or my brothers. Mustang weeks wouldn't be anything special if you had hundreds of identical mustang lined up, see where I'm coming from?

That's what's great about this hobby. We have a legendary platform to customize and truly make it our own. The may have left the factory the same bit each car as it gets modded becomes an extension of it's owner
