Only reason I got a six was because my dad made me he doesn't want me to go fast as a teen. I really wanted a gt oh well

Re: such bad gas mileage

Unless you have a four cylinder Stang, you won't get economy car mileage...

Re: such bad gas mileage

well im gonna experiment. the (505hp) z06 vette is rated for 26mpg highway, with a 2.73 gear. im gonna leave my 3.42 on the shelf as well as my 3.73 ring and pinions. if i can squeeze at least 20mpg highway from from my set-up....it's gonna stay 2.73.

3.60-3.80 a gallon for premium is forcing me to make some hard choices

Re: such bad gas mileage

My 96 3.8 gets about 24 highway and an average of 22 with in town driving which I think is pretty good considering I do at least 80-100 daily. Wish it was an 8 cylinder but my old V8 camaro 5 speed only got 8mpg so I'm not complaining!

Re: such bad gas mileage

Mine is always consisten overall I get about 21mpg, but pure highway I get about 24. I have a very good proposition soon which invovles swapping a 2004 GT motor in for only $2500 so we'll see what its like then.
