05-10 Shifting to Third
From the time I got My 2007 V6 Mustang
When shifting hard into third it was hit and miss Yesterday i was getting on the gears hard and the shifter linkage bar from the shifter to the trany broke When I removed the bar and the bolt that was still in the trany I found that it was Spot/sweat welded and I could tell from the clean weld break(on one edge of the bolt) and the rust on the where it shoud have been welded that the bolt had to have been bent before it broke after I cleaned it up and re-welded and re-installed it It shifted into third very easy now I can shift as hard as i want to with out worring about missing third.
Thought that someone else might be having the same issues. look at the bolt on the trany.
