89 T-bird v6 in 2000 Mustang?

There is a guy selling a supercharged 3.8l v6 from a 1989 thunderbird.

Will this fit in my 2000 Mustang? I'm looking to replace my motor and this seems like a good route to go.

Do a search on here about the eaton m90 which is the supercharger thats on that motor. Its a real pain in the butt to do the swap and you are only gaining a little horsepower and a whine from hell but the whine is sure nice to hear though.
But it does take quiet a bit of money to change your car over to accept the older motor.

The motor in the car now threw a rod a while back and I've been looking for a cheap motor and he's selling this whole motor for cheaper than any Mustang engine I've found yet.
What would I need to change out to accept the motor?

I don't know exactly but if it was me I would buy the motor then put your heads and everything off the bad motor on that block. then sell the rest of the supercharger stuff to gain back some of the money spent. Then you will have a bottom end to mod and put a turbo or procharger on later down the road.

If I was on a computer I would link you. Just do a search on the site like littleman said and you should be able to find something.

That would work too.

Re: 89 T-bird v6 in 2000 Mustang?

Yah keep in mind your current 3.8 is a split port engine...the supercoupe's are single ports. You'll be going back in technology and power with the m90 swap. Your output with the stock pulley setup on the m90 will be right around the stock hp output of your split port 3.8.

Now with some pulley swaps and some tuning you could probably gain more hp/tq than the split port, but it will take some serious work and time to make everything mesh properly.
