Need more hp

I have a cai with true dual exhaust. My next door neighbor has a Pontiac boniville and I read it has the 3.8 liter v6 and is pulling front wheel drive 240 hp stock. And as u already know 2000 mustang 3.8 liter v6 only has 190hp. What can I do to get at least another 50 hp???

Re: Need more hp

There a ton of things you can do. Most beneficial thing you can do after you do anything, or even if you do nothing, getting a custom tune a lone seems to be the number one answer.

They have JBA headers, ceramic headers, and chrome headers. Which are best?

Re: Need more hp

its going to be very hard to add 50hp with anything short of a power adder or building the motor

American Muscle offers nitrous kits. It's not my cup of tea but it will certainly give you a boost.

Also, AM offers combo kits with gears and tuners.

I know that the SCT tuners come with free BAMA tunes for life

I'm not a big spray fan either, I like the idea of having the power to put down all the time, not just when when on the bottle.

Ditto. But that costs money. The blower is only the start...bigger fuel pump, injectors,MAF,then tuning. For my m112 just to bolt on and tune without building a forged motor is 4 grand. My nitrous system cost me 500 total and I can hit it with 175 hp. Cost effective and I still get decent mileage....once o bolt that blower on my 20 mpg days are over
