Unhappy Sad News

Last night my oil temp gauge shot up to almost Hot. Check the oil and nothing was on the dipstick. Added the quart and half that I had in the trunk to the motor and baby her all the way home. This morning checked the oil and it was way over filled. Also checked the coolant. It has oil in it. The cap was covered in it. I think it would be the head gasket. Not entirely sure though. It is a sad day.

Do you have a oil cooler on that vehicle. Not sure if they came with one. If oil is in the coolant and not coolant in the oil. Could be oil cooler leaking through if your lucky.

Well count your blessings that it didn't do any damage. And it will give you a chance to look inside and see what kind of shape it's in. Turn a negative into a positive.

Re: Sad News

The names Eric by the way. Turns out it wasn't my head gasket. Just the oil pressure regulator. Put a new one on and that fixed it.
