Springs installed today

Rides much better than the cut springs, but shocks are banging around. I heard the the fox shocks are shorter and work good with the new edges that are lowered. Anybody know if this is true? I've got to get them replaced because I don't care for all that banging around while going over bumps

How are the kyb gr-2 struts and shocks? Any good for a lowered stang? The reason I ask is I can get a set for for 180 shipped, and after all the money I have sunk into this thing I don't really want to spend more than that.

Just checked AM and may get the tokico hp struts and shocks, 330 shipped, just more than I wanted to dish out for em, if I can't find anything that's decent for cheaper I'll just have to bite the bullet.

I only need for, but I don't. Know if I can use the fox struts and shocks, I thought I read somewhere that I could and they would work good with he lowering springs, but I can't find it again and want to make sure before buying them.

Don't make things work, use what is supposed to belong on there. Koni is what I use ( granted I got the expensive ones) but they make cheaper ones for the average Joe.

I just found a bunch of threads, the fox shocks and struts will work and are great for a lowered sn95, so I'm going to order a set of those

Yes after much testing and cursing, shocks and struts were already worn, and I just mad it worse, ordering some kyb fox body struts and shocks, along with new isos from AM. I just got my ball joints in the other day. So when I get all my stuff in, I'll install all at the same time so I only have to get her aligned once. After all the new rotors and pads are on, I'm going to replace all the bushings in the suspension. I think that will get me to the point were everything should be new. Already put a new alt in, and rad and fan, starter, plugs, belt and battery. Just freshening up everything that I can. My goal is to make her look and feel brand new. Oh changing the diff fluid, and might as well upgrade the Clutch and flywheel and cam etc and that should do it....I think

That will work out great, she's just low enough that I can't get out of my upper drive way, she needs to go up just a hair

Re: Springs installed today

Ok, becuase it looks great and almost new... but I saw the brush against it from the wheels so I knew it couldn't be. I try to clean stuff like that all the time. I hate when ppl leave everything but the body dirty.

Re: Springs installed today

Just a FYI: Mustang 5.0 Magazine online today has an article in regards to Edlebrocks new shock/struts exclusively for the SN95's. In the story it reiterates your comment in regards to the Fox's length of shocks.
Thats the same path I have followed after hearing the same thing. I got the KYB shocks/struts, FRPP "B" springs, but also got the MM CC Plates and X2- bumpsteer to insure alignment. I'm lucky as to have a performance race shop within driving distance to help setting it up. Its the fundage for install temporarily holding me up right now.
Good luck with everything.

I got my fox struts and shocks in today and holy ****! With the new springs she drives like a dream! Very smooth, quiet, and she corners like a bat out of hell.

I put her through her paces. Speed bumps, hard stops, sharp turns, sweeping turns, launches, high speed, and I am very pleased. The cut spring setup can't hold a candle to it now. And the fox struts are perfect for the 1.5" drop.

Dropzone cheapies, just over a hundred bucks for em. I just used the motorcraft foxs shocks and struts, coil overs are going on this summer some time so I didn't want to waste a bunch of money, but I still need it to be drivable as I make trips to Myrtle beach every week or so.
