Turbo/supercharged

Does anyone here have a turbo or supercharged V6. If so how did you get the hardware. I've looked everywhere for one and can only find ones for V8s. Did you build it yourself? How much did it cost? Where did you get it? What was the power gain?

I know procharger has a kit but remember u gotta do some other stuff before any power adder like gears or at least a tlock. Exhaust is a must. Build the motor if u want go have a lot of power I know tma is making a kit soon again but for turbo u must get custom for now.supercharger there a couple and u can make a kit too

Oh yeah. The turbo or charger would be a stage three upgrade. I'm getting everything from exhaust to shocks and struts this summer. My little sixer will be able to keep up with GTs of the same year.

K...if the sixxer spins the opposite way of the gt I have a friend selling a complete procharger system for 2000 bucks. Complete. I was gonna buy it but the impeller spins the opposite way. Great deal

You can purchase multiple kinds of superchargers there, personally i would say your wasting your money. 5k for 85~ horse power just isnt worth it. You can eaisly get 45-75 from doing some basics to your v6 like exhaust/headers/cai/chip but when it comes down to it, if you want speed, save up and purchase a faster car in the first place.

See i would do that but Im a high schooler and I'm prolly gonna keep this car until I'm out of college cuz my car only has 53000 miles on it. Unless someone wants to trade for a 1999+ GT I'm gonna stick with my '98 sixer.

You get 45-75hp from doing basic bolt ons to a 94-04 v6 and you'll be my new best friend, haha.

Yeah the initial power gain vs the money might not seem like it's worth it, but keep in mind there's plenty of tuning to make more power...pulley swaps and dyno tuning are the key parts of supercharging.

Any major mods you do will make your v6 faster, for a v6...if you want major power and v8 torque, buy the v8 car.

Re: Turbo/supercharged

94-04 6 with all the bolt ons would be lucky to see 30rwhp that would be an accomplishment actually, sad but true
