It all comes down to what you like. Check out YouTube. For me BORLA was the obvious choice. I love the sound but it all depends upon what you like most. I would recommend BORLA to everyone though personally.

Re: muffler change suggestions

I, never owning a V6, can't really help out on this part. Give it time and some of the others who have experience with this specific area will chime in.

I have heard personally several types of exhaust on sixes and I liked BORLA the best. Nice deep tone.

Re: muffler change suggestions

Please keep the thread on topic...

To the OP,

Your best bet is to get a chambered muffler. Some brands that offer chambered mufflers are Flowmaster, Pypes, Borla, there are more.

Straight thru design mufflers like Magnaflow and Cherry Bombs will be louder, but the sound quality will probably be worse.

As I mentioned to another v6 owner in another post, consider dumping whatever muffler(s) you get. Add a turndown tailpipe either right after the muffler's exit end or where the tips would normally go after the axle. That'll give you a nice deep tone at idle and when accelerating.

Re: muffler change suggestions

Just a reminder- Mentioning Cherry Bomb by no means indicates a glasspack or straight thru muffler is suggested. They make two different chambered mufflers, their Vortex muffler and a Turbo muffler.

Really? I have only seen their glasspacks. I had no idea they had other stuff. Well I guess it only makes sense they do.

Yeah, new ownership now. State of the art facility. They have the "Pro", "Extreme", "Turbo" and their bread and butter, the "Vortex". Still make the oldy but goody straight glasspack too.
