Rear Trailing Arm

2000 v6 mustang. Doing a gear swap. I got every bolt out of the rearend except the right trailing arm where it mounts to the rearend. The bolt is stuck. Its spinning with the impact, and im prying on it and its still not coming out. IDFK what to do!!! I dont want to heat it up because i dont want to replace the bushing and whole trailing arm bc i have dual exhaust thats in the way of the trailing arm bolt so itd be more trouble than its worth. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Re: Rear Trailing Arm

The bolt is seized inside of the metal sleeve in the bushing. This is also common on Fox cars as well. Your'e going to need a cutoff wheel and an new bushing. A sawzall won't work, been there, done that, lol.

I've always been able to get them out by using a jack to adjust the angles of the rear and prying until it hits the perfect angle. Can be a real PITA sometimes though.
