Pulleys

There's these pulleys I'm looking at on rpmoutlet.com. Is getting underdrive pulleys a good upgrade? Like I heard stories to where the alternator couldn't charge bc of performance pulleys, anyone out there with experience?

Re: Pulleys

Udp's are a decent mod for the v6's. There are a few dyno sheets out there showing that the 25% pulley does offer some gains.

The only time you should consider not running a udp is if you have a large stereo system or plan on supercharging in the future.

I personally wouldn't order from RPM Outlet...I order my exhaust there back in 06 and had a bad experience. I've also heard other negative things regarding the place.

ASP makes the pulley, you could either order from them or check site sponsors...I'm believe CJ Pony Parts and Latemodel Restoration offer them for the 99-04 v6's.

Re: Pulleys

yeah, I got the two piece kit from BBK that included the main drive pulley and the alternator pulley. People over react when an issue arises with installation of the under drive pulleys. All you have to do is monitor your at idle rpms after installing them. If its a little low, then adjust it up slightly to were it was originally around 900 rpms. Thats it! Its as simple as that. It takes 60 seconds to adjust the idle screw.
