03 Top End

So obviously I'm new here, but straight to the point is that I have a maroon 01 that I currently had to revamp with an 03 3.8 with only 60,000 miles on it! I cranked it up the other day and bent a pushrod, I'm guessing due to hydro-lock from some stale fuel left in the tank. I pulled the top end and everything checks out! So I'm needing a pushrod, I've looked everywhere for a set of hardened at 7.136", but can't find them anywhere besides super six motor sports! Any helpful hints? Reason for this is that I have a set of ported heads that I was considering on installing with a new cam! Any advice would be helpful as well! Thanx!

Where did you order your kit from??? Looking for an actuated kit for my 2011 but need some input before I order I know alot of guys have said some kits are prone to failing If you don't exactly follow the track of the bracket, wondering if you have had this problem thanks!

You should be able to order at any length from just about any performance supply company.

The brand that I used was called GT Factory, but the hang up is that it is a kit that must be welded onto the frame with a hydraulic horizontal lift. The best one yet that I've had! I can go down the road with the doors up and have minimal play in the doors. The bolt on kits work, but they always end up having to be readjusted sooner or later, which I hated plus the vertical lift that most of them come with are a pain in the a$$ to close! But as far as the whole problem with the track question, I didn't ever have that huge of a problem with anything and the hinges have adjustment screws on them just for that problem.

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay? And yours is actuated or just the gas shock? Thanks for the help I just don't want to throw the first kit I see on my car because people either love them or hate them!

Mine are gas shocks, but before I installed them, a guy offered me the actuated kit for around $900! My kit costs $550 and I love' em! I figured that it was cheaper to replace a shock than an actuator and the actuated kit seemed to me like there could be quite a few problems go wrong with them!
