I have a 2002 3.8l v6 and I just bought the 98 ford windstar van upper intake and I'm wanting to install is but I'm wondering will it clear the fuel rails or am I'm going to need a intake spacer?
That's another thing I've heard is hood clearance :-( but this guy ha made a tb spacer witch is to angle down the tb to fix the hood clearance problem. I hope it works

It's not swapping for a split port as his motor already has one. It's just a freer flowing intake. Because it is freer flowing, it is taller so...yeah...hood clearance.
Contact Stephan at VAP Auto..if you send him the intake when you send your tb he will deduct the price of the intake. He did for me. If you buy the kit it is very easy and you get everything you need to do this upgrade.
I bought the intake from a guy I knew..then sent it to Stephan and then bought the kit. The kit makes for an easy install.
