Nos

I have a 2000 v6, What do I have to do to my car for it to be able to run on 75 shots of nos?

As I understand from research, our engines can handle up to a 100 shot without severe damage.
All nitrous shortens your engine's lifespan and any setup ever made has the potential to catastrophically fail, even race setups professionally installed.
Keep in mind what you want the nitrous for, if it's just to show off you'll end up ditching it later (everyone I know has). If it's for frequent racing (track or light-to-light raping ricers if that's your prerogative) go for it but remember there's no guarantee it won't fail.
I suggest doing a lot of research on nitrous injection systems, how they work, what they're designed for, etc before committing money to get one.
That's all just my opinion, heed it if you so desire.

Re: Nos

To the OP:

STOP saying NOS. NOS is a brand of Nitrous Oxide kits...it is not synonymous with NO2 (nitrous oxide). It's a little street jargon that the fast and the furious generation uses.

As for safety of Nitrous, nearly any part of your engine at any time can catastrophically fail weather nitrous is involved or not. Properly tuned (stock) motors with the size shot that the bearings and seals can handle (as well as other rotating assembly parts) will more than likely last longer than a Forced induction motor. If you don't go cheap on the kits and get the additional safety features (that you probably can't even get kits without anymore), don't exceed the size shot that others who USE nitrous say is within the motor's safe limits, change timing/swap plugs as recommended, fuel safety, etc, the only real drawback is keeping the bottle filled.

This!

I ran a 75 shot on an old '88 Honda Accord, stock engine, 270K miles. Never blew up, and ran about 12+ 10lb bottles through it. You should be good for a 75 shot I'd say. Nitrous is just as safe as forced induction. You just have to use it the right way. Do some research for sure. Grab a ZEX kit, or Nitrous Express. RESEARCH!!! Can't say that enough.
