Exclamation AIR IDLE CONTROL

MY CARS RPMs ARE AT 2 WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND WHEN I CHANGE TO DRIVE IT PULLS HARD - A COUPLE MONTHS AGO WHILE AT FORD, MY FRIEND (WHO IS A MECHANIC THERE) SAID I WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE THE AIR IDLE CONTROL SOON... AND I FEEL SOON IS "NOW!"

HAVE ANY OF YOU CHANGED YOUR AIR IDLE CONTROL?

MY CAR IS A 2000 V6

You might want to check your TPS as well.

Oh and check your caps lock key.

It's called the idle air control or IAC for short.

I'd recommend pulling it off (2 bolts) and cleaning it first. It's located on the throttle body, two bolts holding it in place, with one connector plugged into it.

its it possible that the idle air control is the one giving me problems?

it is. surely your check engine light is on. get the codes off it.
