Is my Clutch okay?

So I installed the mm clutch lowering kit and I do not know if I need to change where my clutch engages. Here are the details:

Before lowering my pedal, the clutch engaged more towards the top of the pedal. I installed the kit and lowered the pedal as low as it would go. It ended up being lower than the brake pedal, and almost even with the dead pedal. The car started but I could not put it into gear. So I raised the pedal until it was even with the brake pedal. Now the car starts, and I can get it into gear, but it is engaging almost right off the floor. I took the car out and at about 55mph while giving it some gas I pushed in the clutch until my rpms started to raise. It is difficult to say, but it felt like I had to push the clutch in almost half way (which isnt that far considering its height).

So do I need to worry about changing where it engages?

Yep. The only way that you're gonna get it where you want it is a firewall adjuster and possibly an adjustable cable. You still might need to set it higher still. Some clutches take more travel anyways.

Re: Is my Clutch okay?

I have the adjustable cable (the one at the firewall doesn't seem to work...)
So where exactly do I want it, if not where it is already?

Some clutches take more travel. You may have to adjust that pedal higher. You have to make sure the clutch is fully released when you let up. Just the slightest tension on the tob.

How will I be able to tell? Just the tension at the top?

Yup. Set it to where there is no freeplay and just a little more tension.

Re: Is my Clutch okay?

Can I do that by changing the engagement more towards the top of the pedal (or can it only be done by raising the pedal back up because that would defeat the purpose of lowering the pedal...)

You may be able to do it with an aftermarket quadrant. But idk about your exact set up.

Re: Is my Clutch okay?

Hmm, it feels like I don't meet any resistance until about 1/3 of the way in... :/
