abs light

so i have a 2000 v6 mustang, but i have an abs light on, the light has been on ever since i bought it and all the abs brakes look fine and they work fine but still the light is on. my car needs to be inspected next week, so is there anyone out there that have had that problm with the abs light being on? and if i cant get the light to go out will it pass the massachusetts inspection?

is the brake fluid low if not maybe a bad conection on the sensor.

I have the same exact problem... This guy at ford thinks it could be some wire that went bad. I changed the abs module n light still on (bought it from a junk yard) so i dont kno what the problem could be =(

no everything looks good its just the stupid light is on ans wont go out

like i know that the sensors and everything is ok but like im not sure what it could be im probley going to have to bring it to the dealer and see if they can detect something how much do they charge to check the light? if you know off hand

To check engine and inspection is like 130 if im not mistaken...

How do you know they are fine? Did you just look to see if they were there? A wire could be broken at the connector, inside the insulation, sensor could just be flat bad but look fine on the outside.

Also, ABS should not cause you to fail inspection, at least it doesn't down here anyhow.
