I have a 2000 v6 mustang, so far cai, pypes offroad true dual exhaust, and a tuner. What should I get next headers or a throttle body?

Re: What next??? Throttle body or headers

The throttle body gains are going to be minimal on a near stock 6.
Your stock headers are fine...if you want to upgrade, I'd look into long tubes. They offer some slight gains, but are mainly for sound.

If you want a fairly cheap power bolt on get an underdrive pulley.

If you want sound improvement get the long tubes.

Yah a nice centri style with a solid tune around 8lbs and you'd be fine.

Re: What next??? Throttle body or headers

A throttle body won't do much until you have the upper and lower intakes ported to the same diameter as the TB.
LongTube Headers and having your tuner adjusted for them on a dyno would be great.
I think you will go out of your mind with a set of gears and a short throw shifter. Good times.

Re: What next??? Throttle body or headers

pretty expensive as the install can go from like 400-800 bucks but good thing u already have a tuner
your going to want 4.10s if ur cars an auto, and t-lok. i dont think they make ford racing gears for our models anymore so ur next best bet would be Motive which are known for whine (i have motive they DONT whine). just make sure the mechanic does a good job

Intake spacers are a joke. Tell me how moving the throttle 1 in away from the intake Is going to help you. You need to research parts before you buy them most of them are money making scams

Re: What next??? Throttle body or headers

Intake Spacer goes in between the upper and lower intake. It lengthens the runners. It improves low end power significantly.
Not a TB Spacer!
Go to VAP and check it out. They work great.

Install cost me $500.00 & I think thats the norm.
You dont have to get a T-Lok, its a choice.
You can still get Ford gears from places like stangmods.com

I'm sceptic. All I see is making the air take longer to get to the engine. Just doesn't make sence.

It's the same thinking that Ford put into the 99-04 V6's giving them the split port- Lengthening the runners. It's something our single ports do well with (VAP Spacer). The cost is $99.00 but I would pay a lot more to put a value on it.
