Paint question

New guy here. Finally got my dream car... '98, V6, standard trans. 100k miles and I'm the second owner. Everything works, but the paint is starting to show some sun wear. Are these years clearcoated? Paint code is K7, but that only shows a color match. If it's not clear coated, I want to color sand the bad areas.

Re: Paint question

Cool. Thank you for the rapid response. I guess color sanding is out then. I wonder how redoing the clear coat alone would look?

Looks good from here. Love the color. Maybe get the clear coat repainted? Is it bad enough you need the whole car repainted?

The bad spots are on the hood, roof and spoiler. Darned Southwest sun!

I was thinking exactly that... just get it re-clear coated...maybe just those areas. The rest is in very good condition. It does not look like a daily driver, which it was.
