2000 Convert Window Issue

All right, I've had driver side window issues before regarding my 2000 convert (power windows) where the window falls out of the bracket/guide. Couple days ago the same thing, so I popped the panel off today and found that the window is no longer glued into the rear bracket and had actually popped out of the slot on the bracket. I managed to get it back in without much effort but now the window won't work properly.

If the window is sitting flat in the bracket and the window is all the way up (which should be how it sits as it lines up perfectly with the door shut), if I try to lower the window it jams about 4 inches down on the back side, in order to get it down I have to lift the back side of the window and then it will continue to roll down. On the way up there are some issues too where it doesn't seem to follow the door seal of the quarter window. After a few rides up and down the rear part again starts to pry itself out of it's bracket. SO, with that said, can this be fixed with some adhesive or am I looking at something much more costly? And one other thing, is the rear bracket supposed to be able to pivot or turn slightly? Cause it does. ANY help would be appreciated.

Re: 2000 Convert Window Issue

this is probably not related but the little rubber door jam piece right there where the black trim and the door jam meet has a metal piece in it, it can wear and the window can get hung up on the metal~ you can make sure that part is not worn/bad. Quick easy thing to look at.

Re: 2000 Convert Window Issue

That does seem to be about the area where it would be getting hung up however I can't tell if it is or not. Pulling back the rubber I can see the piece you're talking about (if that's what I think it is), but there isn't any wear on it, doesn't mean it's not hitting it but can't say for sure. Thanks for the advice.

the window could be to far forward. You can pull out two of the little push pins on that little piece I told you about earlier (one side wont come off but the other will, the side that goes on the interior panel pulls out easy) then pull it out of the way see if it moves ore

Re: 2000 Convert Window Issue

Yep, Sure enough the rear portion of the window is hitting that metal piece in there. So how do I go about fixing this? I can get the window to descend if I pull the rear potion up slightly out of the bracket, then it has enough clearance room but it also starts to come out of the bracket. I have a feeling I'm going to end up resealing the bracket but how should I arrange the window in there is the question.
