sequential tails

Thinking of buying the sequential tail kit. i see a pretty big difference in price between splice-in and plug-in. has anyone done the splice in? is it worth the extra money to get the plug-in?

Re: sequential tails

I have the splice, and have a place to get them that might be a little less than what you're seeing...

The splice isn't all that hard to do.

Re: sequential tails

Splice in is easy to install. Use a tab splicer, it will make the job even easier.

Waste of money, they both do the same thing, they're just easier to install than the splice in type

But you don't see the wires at all. They are hidden by the trunk lining.

Yep, once you do the splicing you are good to go. All hidden.

Re: sequential tails

I also think about short circuits and possible wire problems. I think about those things like warranties and for some reason I think about loose wires don't know why but it's just how I am drawn.

Re: sequential tails

I did a splice in in 20 minutes this weekend. There's nothing to it.

If you want them fast then leave the stock flasher unit, if you want slow you get a new flasher unit.

I have the same supplier as purevenom and have been using them since 2004 with no issues. I've personally installed over 30 of the splice-in kits with zero issues in SN-95's, New edge, and S197 stangs.

Thx for all the info guys. Rob I think I'll go with those. Good price and I'm pretty sure I can do the splicing.

The ones I have are about the same speed as the 2010 ones. I agree, the standard ones are definitely too fast.
