car shakes when idling

my car shakes at idle when its cold and it sometimes doesnt accerate correctly. it hesitates sometimes. but when i got back i turned it on and it was fine. can u help me out on whats wrong?

im going to check my wires cause i replaced the plugs recently. how much does it cost at autozone to get the codes checked?

Yea they check codes for free check batteries and alternators and other stuff for free.

A sensor may be bad. Cuz mine use to do that shake sometimes then sometimes nothing is wrong.

I would try to clean the MAF sensor first.

They sell MAF cleaner at autozone or oriely. Its in a spray can. Just carefully take the MAF sensor out and spray it good and let it dry for a minute then put back.

Some ppl use carb cleaner. Do not listen to them and do not use carb cleaner.

my car had the same prob. but i cant remember which part they cleaned. was a sensor.

Could be multiple different things. By the sound of it sounds like a small misfire. What year is your stang. The maf wouldn't cause a difference in acceleration. And the check engine light wouldn't blink, it would stay solid. Let it run and give it gas while it idles and smell for antifreeze and if it's stock intake manifold they're plastic easy for them to have a super tiny crack which would lead to that misfire. MAF could be part of it but I almost am 95% sure that's not your only issue by the description.

can be many things, if its not had a tune up in a while I would look there, clean the maf, check the plugs/wires, check the coil pack/etc

I think I was a fluke misfire because I drove it all around town today and it ran perfect. It's a 2000 v6 so it's got the metal intake manifold and it's not cracked. I've checked everywhere trust me. My mustang come before my girlfriend haha

I changed the plugs a while ago so it's not those I checked all the wires and they're good. I might replace wires and see where that takes me

this is so wierd bc i just started working on my beater (02 saturn SC2) and started it up and its running like ****. the check engine light is also blinking and shakes at idle... hmm..

Okay so I'm getting frustrated I can now notice a loss in power can you guys help me? I have already checked the connections of the wires and replaced spark plugs

All my 02 sensors are bad on my car and my car doesnt shake. I tuned my car where they are off.
