Front Mount Intercooler 95 3.8

Hey All,

New here, but I am avid Mustang fanatic. I am working on swapping in a supercharged 3.8l V6 from a Thunderbird SC. My question is, how does one go about mounting a Front-Mount Inter-cooler (FMIC) on a 95 Mustang?? I see kits on Ebay all the time, but they look to be universal. What kits do you guys use?? I could go with the stock Thunderbird inter-cooler, but it is rather, restricting. Any thoughts/suggestions???

a universal intercooler may be your most economic option. if not, you will have to get the pipe custom bent.

as far as mounting.... it goes in the same location as it would on an 03-04 cobra or any other car for that matter. in the front, as close to the vent in the lower bumper as you can get it.

you will have to remove the front bumper cover.... and possibly have to trim out the inside of the bumper depending on the size and mountable location of the intercooler.

i would advise getting the universal kit.. and get a lil creative to make it work. welcome to the world of "d.i.y. boost"

I think his idea sounds great ^ the intercooler would look sick showing though that hole...
