She's in the paint booth! Pics soon!

I've been away from the forums for a couple months, but I've done a few things to my baby in that time. I've got a 2003 mineral grey sixxer. I put the gt wheels on her, dropped her 1.5 inches and put 1.5 inch wheels spacers in the rear. Also painted the calipers front and rear, and shortened the anntenea. She also got a true dual Flowmaster exhaust.

The exhaust was installed before the drop. Bad idea. I got all sort of banging from the pipes on the axles. On top of that, with the drop and spacers, I was cutting my rear tires on the fenders. To first fix the banging, I had the pipes cut and dumped before the rear axle. Sounds better, but I lost the dual pipe look. I also pulled of the spacers. All was well untill my grandmother backed into her a few weeks back, smashing the driverside side scoop area.

This past monday I dropped her off at the body shop to get fixed up, and decided to go ahead and get a fresh coat of paint on the whole car. I should be getting it back this afternoon so I plan to promptly get pictures posted up.

I believe the pic in my sig is with the drop, wheels, spacers, and exhaust.

I'm buying a new house with a two car garage vs my current carport. Should make it more difficult for her to hit it!

Thats how it happens. Its never your own fault. Its always the other persons fault or the garages fault. Lol.

Re: She's in the paint booth! Pics soon!

It's good to be back. I got some horrible news today. Body work and paint was done, but it's still gotta stay there while the paint cures or something like that. So unforturnatly I have to wait until tomorrow morning to get her back....

Re: She's in the paint booth! Pics soon!

Yeah I just have to sit back a wait. Hopefully the kids don't wake me up too early tomorrow, or else it will make it seem to be longer untill I finally get the call. Now all I have to do is find a decent place to get the windows tinted, I think that's the last step before I boost the piss out of her

I'd go 20% all around. Be sure they tint it good you know those dots of the rear defroster don't play well. I got to get mine redone...

Re: She's in the paint booth! Pics soon!

Well got my baby back, and she looks great, just like she did when she rolled off the line. I can't figure out to upload pictures from my phone (windows 7 phone) to the forum so I'll have to track down my digital camera.

Ah, the "all that's left to do" statement. Reminds me of my Jeep days. I havent started the "finish" the Mustang yet haha.

Re: She's in the paint booth! Pics soon!

Now that I got her painted I've got to take a break on her for a while, buying a new house so my extra cash is no longer extra...
