Headlights dimming...

Well it has finally irrated me enough. When driving at night whenever I press the brakes my light dim. To other people on the highway it looks like I am flashing my light at em, needless to say I have been givin the finger a few times. Battery is good, alt is good, I searched all over for a wire that may be coming lose but turned up nothing. I can also just barely see my gauge lights dim at the same time. I'm at wits end, what could I be missing?

Sounds like the regulator has went out on the alternator. It will still charge but won't be able to handle the extra load too well.
