Kay guys i'm getting really frustrated with my mustang. It misfires a lot but not comtinously so it's not a vacuum line. I replaced spark plugs and wires and the guy before me replaced the fuel pump. Anyone please help!

What you have sounds like what ive been working on. Have you tried a cleaner like seafoam. I had a bad misfire and cleaned out my engine with that and now its just about all gone.

I had a similar prob in my v6 camaro it missfired under accel. When it missed the eng light would flash and stayed on..had it checked and they said cyl 4 missfire turns out it was the coil pack...if your eng light is on go to auto zone or somewhere that runs diagnostic for free...

My dad brought home a $5000 scanner from work and I used it and I had a misfire in cylinde #1. I pulled the plug and found some carbon on it. I scraped it off without touching the electrode and it drove fine. But I'm waiting for it to act up again.
