Short Throw Shifter

I am thinking about betting a new shifter. I have already decided that I want the "Steeda Billet Pro Street Shifter Handle" from AM. Does anyone know if the AM "short throw shifter" is any good? It's only about $130... I was going to get the Hurst shifter, but I think I prefer the Steeda handle... thanks

Re: Short Throw Shifter

I would go with MGW, Pro 5.0, or Steeda Tri-Ax in that order (my opinion)

Re: Short Throw Shifter

I currently have a Hurst shifter in my Chevelle. Great shifter... in a big car. My Mustang is a small car, so I feel that the tall shifter handle in the Hurst would be too much for the Mustang. I Am gonna go with a short throw. In the end, It's all individual opinion. Most people probably prefer shorter shifters in smaller vehicles... especially in the 94-04 mustangs, because there is not a whole lot of room around the shifter.

But back to the original question... nobody know anything about the American Muscle short throw shifter?

I just put in the American muscle short throw it's 189.99 online I bought it off craigslist for 70 $ I love it right now it's real tight but the shifting is a million times nicer. I would say go for it I have a 2001 Gt convertible I'm looking to do some more performance things now exhaust throttle body air intake any input

Go CAI (Cold Air Intake), and Exhaust, you'll be happy with doing that. Don't worry so much on Throttle Body.

nothing, its just not as good as the ones I listed for 94-04 year, and for 05+ not as good as the MGW for sure.

Thanks man... The price is down to $129.99 now for my t45, so I'll probably get it.

Yeah, thanks again for the input... Some advice for you, do not worry so much about the throttle body... to get the most bang for your buck, go with a CAI, Exhaust, and a tune... The Throttle body and Underdrive pulleys didn't really seem to do much for me when I installed them, just seemed to be a waste of $
