I would think you just need to unbolt it and use some body filler on the holes, then paint.

how big are the holes and could I uses touch up paint I have the flat spoiler from 2007 not the gt one

You would need something to fill in the holes before you could paint it. If you have the same spoiler I do (I think most are the same), then there are two holes on each side. You can see them when you open the trunk.

same spoiler I haven't really looked I either want to get rid of it or get a black gt one I have a torch red btw

It is just my.02 but I don't think a mustang looks right without a spoiler but if you take yours off you will have four holes to fill I think the best way to fill them is weld them up and smooth them out and then repaint the entire trunk lid so the paint will be a uniform color.

I think I'm just gonna go with a black gt spoiler because it would look better do they have the same bolts
